Friends of the Orchestra-$5,000
Dear Friends of the Culver City Symphony Orchestra:
Our season ended with the very successful summer series as
the Marina del Rey Symphony in Burton Chase Park.
Throughout its history and aligned with its mission, the Culver
City Symphony Orchestra has present- ed varied and
compelling musical events for you and for the community, as
well as opportunities for young, gifted performers. As a member
of the Symphony Society, each of you has been a part of
supporting the or- chestra and enjoying special musical
evenings. We are thrilled to announce that Andrew Shulman
has accept- ed the position of Principal Guest Conductor.
The Orchestra’s Competition for Young Artists continues to
attract highly gifted young musicians from throughout Southern
California. Winners of the competition have gone on to
prominent careers as touring concert performers, as well as to
key positions in the nation’s major symphony orchestras,
valued professors and music teachers.
The Symphony Society relies on its membership to ensure that
the concerts continue to present the finest classical music
throughout the Culver City, Los Angeles, Marina del Rey and
Westside areas. At this time, we are striving to present our
normal season’s concerts for the upcoming year. With your
financial help, we can accomplish this goal. Please join us and
have your friends join as well. We need all of you.
In appreciation of our valued and future members, the following
benefits are available:

prices. Your Membership Card entitles you to two free

& Burton Chase Park at $150 level and above);

well. Our popular end-of-the season raffle will be held at the

for orchestras though your membership. We look to you to
support the orchestra by your continued and/or increased
membership in the Society. If you want to learn of other ways
you can support us through the donation of cars, bonds or
stocks, please contact us at (310) 645-5961.

is the satisfaction you will derive from contributing to
community enrichment by sponsoring this outstanding
orchestra, providing a social setting for yourself, and helping to
make a wonderful season possible. We invite you to renew and

The strings, winds, brass and percussion sections
cannot be directed by Conductor Frank Fetta without
your financial support. Through our valued SoCal
Symphony Society Members the orchestra presents
prominent musical events and opportunities for young
gifted performers through our Parness Concerto
Competition. But none of this happens without your
commitment to our vision.
