Thank you for being part of our
inspiring 2025-2026 Season Following last season's celebration of our first 60 years of concerts for the community, the Culver City Symphony Orchestra's 2025-26 season was filled with exceptional performances and celebrated guest artists.
Under the baton of Music Director Clyde Mitchell, the 2025–2026 season delivered a journey of passion, heritage, and discovery through the world’s great symphonic traditions. The fall season opened November 15, 2025 at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium with Summon the Heroes, Salute the Heroes, an uplifting tribute honoring courage and unity through works by Williams, Copland, Still, Ellington, and others. In January 2026, the orchestra welcomed Parness Senior Winner Esme Arias-Kim to the Frost Auditorium in America PLUS!, featuring Barber’s Violin Concerto and Brahms’ Symphony No. 3. Our April 2026 concert, A Little Russian Romance, spotlighted Parness Junior Winner Alicia Huang and Intermediate Winner Minji Choi performing violin concertos by Kabalevsky and Tchaikovsky, with Borodin’s In the Steppes of Central Asia and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 2 rounded out the program. The season concluded June 20, 2026 with A Tribute to Our Roots in Black America, a powerful Juneteenth celebration featuring works by Florence Price, George Walker, William Grant Still, and Scott Joplin—honoring the enduring influence of Black composers on American music, their notable "firsts", and the links with the history of our Orchestra. We thank everyone who came and enjoyed our free concerts, and all of those whose financial contributions made our concerts possible.
