Friends of the Orchestra, The Directors of the Board and the musicians of our Orchestra are delighted to welcome you back to our 2024-25 season. The Orchestra was founded in 1964 and, for the first 45 years, our regular season concerts were free thank to the generous support of our Symphony Society members. The Great Recession of 2008 brought both lower revenue and higher costs. In response, we reduced our season to three concerts and, for the first time, we began charging admission. We have been very fortunate to enjoy the continued support of our wonderful Symphony Society members, the City of Culver City and Los Angeles County. We were delighted that the Board of Directors was able to approve a return to a four-concert season in 2022-23, with free admission to all regular season concerts. Your support, as Symphony Society members, is a crucial part of our financial resiliency and our ability to continue to provide live symphonic music to Culver City and the surrounding communities.
